On December 8, 2007, the Green’s Drug Mart Volleyball Team held a Ladies Volleyball Tournament at Crescent Collegiate in support of KidSport™ Newfoundland and Labrador.  Through donations from local businesses and contributions from tournament participants, they raised $1,327!  The tournament was held in honour of the late Glen Day, an avid sports enthusiast who was involved in hockey in the community.  All proceeds from the tournament will go to support kids in the local area who need financial assistance to play sports.  Sponsors for the tournament included: Dildo Freshmart; Smith’s Snacks; Kountry Kravin’s –n- Krafts; Green’s Drug Mart; Crocker’s Home Hardware; Inside Scoop; The Treasure Trove; Fran’s Kitchen; Judy’s Flower Shop; Carino Inc.; Hempware; Design Group Salon; One Stop Photo; and, Blaketown Crescent Collegiate.  A big thank you from KidSport™!
